Rainy Season & Mosquito-palooza

With the onset of rainy season, this quote truly rings true in Japan right now.  I’ve been tickled, bitten, and savaged by these little creatures.  I look like I have the chicken pox again.  I’m always that unfortunate person who gets attacked by mosquitos when no one else in the same place gets bitten.  Putting on an entire bottle of Benedryl today, I thought how distractingly powerful one bug bite can be.  Not to mention 13!  Are you one of those that gets snacked on by mosquitos too?

Download this cute poster here.  Wouldn’t it make your bottle of OFF look so much cuter? :)

  1. Hi, thanks for sharing this! I created this poster and I have to tell you that I’m from Northern Ontario, Canada, where mosquitos can get REALLY bad! I once had to walk from one cottage to another in nothing but my bathing suit. In total it was about 15 minutes, but after my walk my mom and I counted… 108 bites. So… you can understand why both my mom and I love this quote! :)

    • Hahaha I was born in Ottawa, and we used to have a small cabin off of a lake in Northern Ontario when I was small. We would visit almost every weekend in the summer, and in the pictures, my whole body is covered with bug bites! Thanks for making and sharing this poster – I love it! I’m a huge fan of typography :)

  2. This made me laugh!
But at the same time, cringe. I remember being in Japan last summer and not being able to go anywhere near any body of water. There were 17 bites on my legs alone at one point. I am a definite mosquito target!

    • Glad to know that I’m in good company! Ooo how long did you live in Japan? Its starting to get incredibly hot so mosquito season might be right at the end now!
