A Party By Any Other Name

A party isn’t a party without great food and friends to make all the other elements come to life!  Our wonderful hosts (and expectant parents) Daniel and Yichin invited us over for a homemade 5-course meal.  It started with my favorite of the night, pancetta-wrapped Hokkaido scallops on a bed of pureed cauliflower…

…followed by pappardelle with duck ragu (all homemade including the pasta!).

Here they are hard at work:

While the chef worked his magic, we kept busy snapping photos (that’s Daniel from little projects in style)..

Dinner ended with a beautifully roasted steak with truffled potatoes:

and a ‘mommy-to-be’ friendly tiramisu!

I’m still smiling from the great food and all the laughs we had!  Don’t you just love dinner parties?
