This weekend was filled with spirits for our friend who was in town, a quadruple birthday party, and a double shinnenkai house warming party! When we got back home last night, my husband and I looked at each other with our stomaches so full they ached and bodies so hungover we couldn’t move.
We visited R2 Supper Club for the first time this weekend, which is based on a 1930s underground jazz club. It opened in December and has a surprisingly open feel for Tokyo despite the crowd on Saturday. Although we didn’t eat there this time, all of the dishes coming out from the kitchen looked fabulous – classic American food with a modern twist. Here are some pictures from their Facebook page:
